Beach
Yokjido's beaches are pebble ( Mongdol) rather than sandy. Aqua shoes are recommended for walking on the shore.
Food
The island is known for fresh scallops, sea cucumbers, and abalones. Local specialties include sweet potato makgeolli (Gomesun, Gomejin).
Transport
Ferries from Tongyeong take 40-60 minutes; seasonal routes from Samcheonpo take 50-70 minutes. Local buses and taxis on the island have limited schedules.
