No lodging inside the park. Base yourself in Ciénaga, Santa Marta, or Barranquilla for day trips to the park.
Transport
The parkway (ruta Nacional 90/Troncal del Caribe) connects Barranquilla eastward toward Ciénaga and Santa Marta. A car or organized tour is the most practical way to visit. Boats can be hired at Ciénaga or along the park to explore mangroves.
Weather
Tropical climate averaging 30°C year-round with 400-800 mm annual rainfall depending on area. Over 300 days of sunshine make this accessible in most seasons.
