Overview
Inujima is a 133-acre island with fewer than 100 full-time residents, yet it hosts world-class contemporary art inside an abandoned copper refinery and five renovated houses. The island was named after a 3.6-m-high rock shaped like a dog, and a legend credits poet Sugawara no Michizane with being saved by a dog's call that led him here.
