Overview
Atzompa is a small but significant Zapotec archaeological site that offers a quieter alternative to crowded Monte Albán. The site features a remarkable 50-foot limestone and stucco frieze discovered in 2018, depicting revered animals like jaguars, quetzals, and monkeys.
