Overview
Wągrowiec is a small historic town of 26,000 inhabitants in north-east Greater Poland, situated about 60 km NE of Poznań at the banks of the Wełna River and Durowskie Lake. The town is inseparably connected with the Cistercian Order in Poland and offers visitors a peaceful alternative to larger Polish cities, with notable Gothic churches, a regional museum, and proximity to some of Poland's oldest wooden churches.
