Overview
Skala is the largest resort on southern Kefalonia, drawing thousands of visitors each summer to its long golden sandy beach backed by pine trees. The village combines a lively beachfront with historic interest — Roman villa mosaics sit in an olive grove an hour's walk uphill — while nearby turtle-nesting beaches at Kaminia and Mounda offer nature experiences rarely found at package resorts.
