Overview
Shōdo Island (小豆島) is Japan's olive capital, where the first successful olive cultivation in the country began in 1908. The island served as the setting for the 1954 antiwar film Twenty-Four Eyes (二十四の瞳), and visitors can explore the reconstructed movie village.
