Pichanaki is a small frontier town at 525 meters elevation on the Rio Perene, serving as a transit point between La Merced and Satipo in Peru's Southern Sierra. The area is known for nearby waterfalls including Catarata de Bayoz and Velo de la Novia, both accessible via Puerto Yurinaki turnoffs.
