The official currency is the Bosnia and Herzegovina convertible mark (BAM), but the euro is universally accepted throughout Neum.

Neum functions as a duty-free zone with cheaper tobacco, alcohol, and fuel than Croatia. Konzum supermarket at the highway junction is open daily 07:00-22:00.
Transport
Neum lies on the main M2 highway crossing the 9 km BiH coast strip. The Pelješac Bridge now bypasses this route for most vehicles.
Weather
Mediterranean climate with hot summers (June-August) and mild shoulder seasons. Winter sees minimal tourism with many establishments closed.
