Overview
Nanyuki is a bustling equatorial town serving as the main gateway to Mount Kenya National Park, the Laikipia Plateau, and premier wildlife conservancies like Ol Pejeta and Lewa. Founded in 1907 by British settlers, it combines adventure tourism with a surprisingly cosmopolitan feel—modern supermarkets, gear shops, and international dining cater to both expatriates and Kenyan middle-class visitors.
