Ghanaian cedi (GH₵) is the local currency. ATMs and mobile money agents are available in the city center. Melcom accepts cards but street markets are cash-only.
Transport
All access is by road; expect 2 hours from Accra via Aburi. Car transport stations cluster near Total 2 and 3 petrol stations in the CBD.
Weather
Koforidua is cooler than coastal Ghana year-round. The dry season (Nov–Mar) offers the best conditions for outdoor sightseeing and waterfall visits.
