Overview
Frombork is a small Baltic fishing village in Poland's Warmia-Masuria region, famous as the final residence of Renaissance astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus, who conducted his groundbreaking heliocentric research here until his death in 1543. The town was part of Prussia and later Germany until 1945, known as Frauenburg throughout the Middle Ages.

Frombork is walkable in under 10 minutes end-to-end. Regional buses connect to nearby Elbląg and the Tri-City area. No car needed within the village.
