Overview
El Rosario is one of Mexico's designated Pueblos Mágicos, a colonial-era mining town founded in 1655 that stuns visitors with its ostentatiously beautiful gold altar in the main church. The town is famous as the birthplace of ranchera singer Lola Beltran, and serves as a charming, slower-paced day trip destination for visitors staying at the beach resorts of nearby Mazatlan.
