Overview
Cusuco National Park protects 234 km² of the Merendon mountains in the Honduran Highlands. The park offers pristine cloud forest habitats ranging from semi-arid pine forest at lower elevations to unique dwarf forest (bosque enano) above 2,000 metres.

Cellular and internet connectivity is limited or unavailable throughout the park due to its remote nature and mountainous terrain.
Safety
The park is not well developed for tourism. Trails can be rough and conditions challenging. Travel with an experienced guide from a reputable tour operator.
Transport
The park is 30 km from San Pedro Sula. No public transport directly serves the park; tours arranged in San Pedro Sula are the most practical option for most visitors.
Weather
Lower elevations have tropical monsoon climate; higher elevations are temperate. Pack for all conditions and be prepared for rapid weather changes when ascending.
