Overview
Coscomatepec is one of Mexico's designated Pueblos Mágicos, a small colonial town in the mountains of Central Veracruz with a rich Totonac heritage dating to 1325. Visitors come for the storied downtown area with 17th-century churches, or as a base camp for climbing Pico de Orizaba, Mexico's highest mountain and an active volcano.
