Overview
Chiang Saen is a sleepy riverside town with a storied past as a former Lanna kingdom capital. Unlike the tourist bustle of Chiang Mai, this quiet outpost offers ancient temple ruins, a riverside promenade along the Mekong, and access to the Golden Triangle region.
