Overview
Bukoba is a bustling lakeside city of 145,000 people (2022) on the Tanzanian shore of Lake Victoria, serving as a transit hub between Tanzania and Uganda. The city offers a rare sandy beach on the lake, local markets, and a relaxed atmosphere that sees few foreign tourists.
