Overview
Birgunj is Nepal's busiest border crossing with India, serving as the main port of entry for goods from Kolkata and a key transit point for travelers heading to or from Kathmandu. While not a tourist destination in its own right, the city offers affordable accommodation (NPR 800-5000 for hotels), local transport connections, and serves as a gateway to Parsa Wildlife Reserve.
