Overview
Arusha National Park is Tanzania's most accessible park, located just 25 km northeast of Arusha city. Unlike remote northern parks, it can easily be visited as a day trip or included at the start or end of a longer safari circuit.

Accommodation
Camping inside park starts at US$30/person/night; hostel at US$10/person/night. Colobus Mountain Lodge outside park offers camping from US$10/person/night.
Fees
Park entrance fees are US$45/person/day for foreigners, plus US$30 hut fees, US$15-20 guide fees, and US$20 rescue fee per night. A three-day, two-night Mount Meru climb costs approximately US$260 minimum.
Transport
Located 25 km northeast of Arusha. Most visitors join guided safari tours from Arusha. Can be visited as a day trip or combined with longer northern circuit.
Water
Tap water should not be consumed. Bring bottled water or have purification methods available when exploring the park.
Weather
Mild mountain climate with daytime temps of 20-27°C. Higher elevations can be cold and misty. Best visited June-October or January-February for dry conditions and clear Kilimanjaro views.
