Internet and phone access is limited to public telephones and one internet cafe two blocks north of the plaza.
Language
Virtually no English is spoken in Andagua. Basic Spanish skills are essential for meaningful interaction with locals and navigating the area.

Local currency is Peruvian soles (PEN/S/). Small towns have limited ATM access; carry sufficient cash from larger cities.
Transport
Reyna Tours buses connect Andagua with Arequipa (10-11 hours, S/40) departing at 16:00. Northern access via Orcopampa (2 hours). Buy tickets one day in advance.
Weather
Nights can be quite cold, especially during early morning arrivals. Pack warm clothing regardless of season.
