Chobe National Park in northeast Botswana is the third largest national park in the country, covering 10,566 km² along the Chobe River which forms the park's northern boundary. The park is famous for its vast herds of elephants—estimated at around 50,000 Kalahari elephants, the largest in Africa—as well as exceptional birdwatching with fish eagles, storks, plovers, and kingfishers along the riverine landscapes.
