Overview
Zoucheng is the birthplace of Mencius (Mengzi), China's second-most-revered Confucian philosopher after Confucius himself. The city offers well-preserved temples and mansions dedicated to Mencius that mirror those of Confucius in nearby Qufu but see far fewer tourists.
