Overview
Zaria is one of the original seven Hausa city-states and a major city in Kaduna State, North West Nigeria. The city was founded in 1536 and later renamed after Queen Zaria (Queen Amina), a legendary ruler who established a tributary region including the kingdoms of Kano and Katsina through her military campaigns.
