Overview
Vlychada is the largest coastal settlement on Santorini's south coast, offering a quieter alternative to Fira and Oia with accommodation that is much cheaper than other coastal towns on the archipelago. The village centers on a working marina where fishing vessels unload their catch directly to nearby restaurants, and the dramatic black sand beach features spectacular wind-eroded cliffs without the commercialisation found elsewhere on the island.
