Overview
Valldemossa is a stone-and-olive village of 2000 residents tucked into the Serra de Tramuntana hills, 20 km north of Palma. The main draw is the Cartoixa de Valldemossa, a 14th-century royal palace converted to a Carthusian monastery and now a museum.

Culture
Valldemossa is the birthplace of Santa Catalina Tomás, Mallorca's patron saint. Her feast is celebrated 27-28 July with village fiestas.

Transport
Bus 203 (TIB) runs hourly from Palma to Valldemossa in about 30 minutes, continuing to Deià, Sóller, and Port de Sóller. Parking is available at the village edge.
