Overview
Towada-Hachimantai is Tohoku's premier nature park, offering Japan's third deepest volcanic caldera lake, dramatic waterfalls along the Oirase Gorge, and some of the region's most celebrated hot springs. The park straddles three prefectures and provides exceptional fall foliage viewing around Oirase Stream, plus legendary Hakkoda powder snow for adventurous skiers.
