Overview
Tongren is a prefecture-level city in the northeast of Guizhou Province that serves as a gateway to some of Guizhou's most spectacular natural and cultural attractions. The city is a multi-ethnic area with two national nature reserves, three national scenic spots, and nine provincial scenic spots.

Transport
Tongren Fenghuang Airport connects via bus no. 20. Tongren Railway Station is served by multiple bus routes. Direct buses to Mount Fanjing depart at 08:30 from Tongren Tourist Bus Station (¥35, 90 minutes).

Subtropical monsoon climate with warm, humid conditions. Always carry a light jacket and umbrella. Spring is rainiest; summer is hot and sunny; autumn is cool and rainy; winter is mild.
