Money
China uses the Chinese Yuan (CNY/¥). ATMs are widely available, and mobile payment apps (WeChat Pay, Alipay) are essential for most transactions. Tourist prices in Tianjin are roughly half those in Beijing.

Tianjin is generally safe, but taxi drivers may try to overcharge. Use meters and call +86 22 23549000 to report cheating. Avoid leaving clubs intoxicated.
Transport
Tianjin has three major railway stations (Tianjin, Tianjin South, Tianjin West) plus an international airport. Metro Line 2 connects the airport to Tianjin Railway Station for ¥3. Bus fares range from ¥1-1.5 depending on route distance.
Weather
Best visited in autumn (September-November). Summers are hot and humid (upper 30s°C). Winters are cold and dry with nights below -10°C. Spring may bring Gobi dust storms.
