Overview
Thirassia is a small satellite island of Santorini with only about 270 residents across five villages. Once connected to Santorini before the catastrophic volcanic eruption of the 2nd millennium BCE, the island remains largely unchanged by mass tourism.

Transport
Ferries from Santorini cost €3-3.75. Bring a bicycle for getting around; the bus does not reach many scenic areas. Petrol station not always stocked.
