Overview
Tepotzotlán is a UNESCO World Heritage town in Mexico State, 40 km northeast of Mexico City, designated a Pueblo Magico for its colonial architecture and cultural heritage. Originally settled by the Otomi around 2500 B.C., it later became a major Jesuit religious center from 1525 onward, with the College of San Francisco Javier built in 1580.
