Overview
Ston is a small fortified port on the Pelješac peninsula that rewards visitors with one of Europe's most impressive medieval wall systems and some of Croatia's finest oysters. The town served as the southern defensive gateway for the Dubrovnik Republic, and its massive stone fortifications spanning 5 km across the isthmus remain largely intact.
