Overview
Springfield is a tiny Canterbury foothill town of just a few streets, most notable as the last fuel station and garage before the remote Arthur's Pass. It serves as a staging post for travelers heading to the West Coast and Craigieburn ski fields, making it a practical overnight stop rather than a destination in itself.
