Overview
The Southern Islands are uninhabited gems in the British Virgin Islands archipelago, offering some of the territory's finest snorkeling and scuba diving. Unlike developed islands, these tiny islets provide pristine marine environments, legendary caves, and the thrill of anchoring in secluded bays.

Before you go
Money
Cash is rarely needed as most establishments are upscale resorts. Bring USD (the currency of the BVI) for any purchases at the Willy T or resort restaurants.
Packing
Bring everything you need—these are uninhabited islands with no stores. Pack sufficient water, sunscreen, snorkel gear, and any provisions for your boat trip.
Safety
The Willy T bar has a high incidence of alcohol-related accidents. Snorkel and dive safely—know your limits, as the nearest medical facilities are on Tortola.
Transport
The only way to reach the Southern Islands is by boat—charter a yacht, join a day-sail excursion, or arrange a water taxi from Tortola, Virgin Gorda, or Jost Van Dyke.
