Overview
Shaxi is one of the last surviving market towns along the ancient Tea & Horse Caravan Trail, preserved largely intact with its original layout, old stage, and traditional Bai architecture. The town offers an authentic glimpse into Yunnan's minority culture without the tourist crowds of Lijiang or Dali.
