Overview
Santa Fe is a small mountain town of about 3,200 people close to Santa Fe National Park, just south of the continental divide. There are many hikes located in the area and several hostels and hotels in town that cater to travelers who would like to get away from the hustle and bustle.

There is no ATM, no bank, and no petrol station in Santa Fe. Bring sufficient cash for your stay. El Tute coffee makes a good souvenir.
Transport
Minibuses connect Santa Fe with Santiago de Veraguas, 50 km to the south. The town itself is walkable.
Weather
The mountain location provides cool temperatures. The area is often foggy, especially on forest hikes to Alto de Piedra waterfalls.
