Overview
San Borja is not a destination in its own right but rather a necessary transit point on the routes between Rurrenabaque and San Ignacio de Moxos or Trinidad. The town has grown rapidly over the past 50 years, with its population multiplying more than fivefold, giving it a transient, working-town atmosphere rather than colonial charm or tourist infrastructure.
