Overview
Sakai is a historic city in Osaka prefecture, best known for the Mozu Kofun Group—massive ancient burial mounds that are now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It offers a quieter, more laid-back alternative to central Osaka, with the bonus of being a centuries-old center for traditional Japanese knife and blade manufacturing.
