Sabi Sand Game Reserve is a 65,000-hectare private wildlife reserve in Mpumalanga, South Africa, sharing an unfenced border with Kruger National Park. The reserve offers an intimate safari experience with fewer vehicles than public parks, increasing chances of close wildlife encounters.

Cellular coverage is limited or unavailable in most of the reserve. WiFi, when available, is typically confined to lodge main areas only.

Safety
Always follow ranger instructions, remain in vehicles during game drives except in designated areas, and observe the 50 km/h speed limit to avoid fines and ensure safety.
Transport
Internal transport within the reserve is exclusively via lodge-operated safari vehicles or guided walking tours. Private vehicles may enter during daylight hours but night driving is prohibited.
Weather
Winter (May-October) offers dry, cool conditions ideal for wildlife viewing. Summer (November-April) brings rain, lush vegetation, newborn animals, and higher temperatures.
