Overview
The Rugova Mountains are Kosovo's premier alpine destination, proclaimed a national park in 2013 and forming part of the Bjeshkët e Nemuna (Accursed Mountains). The region offers dramatic Rugova Gorge carved by the Lumbardhi River, alpine lakes like Liqenat, and the highest peak Hajla at 2,403 m.
