Cellular signal is available via Tigo and Claro networks. WiFi is limited to hotels in Rio Dulce or Livingston; the site itself has no internet access.
Money
Guatemalan Quetzales (GTQ) are used for all purchases including site entry. ATMs available in Rio Dulce and Los Amates, but bring sufficient cash as the site area has no banking services.
Transport
Quiriguá sits 2 km off the CA-9 highway. Shuttle services from Rio Dulce (Q100-150) or collectivos (Q30-50) are common options. Driving yourself allows flexibility for timing.
Weather
Extremely hot and humid in summer months (April-May). Bring water, sunscreen, and a hat. The dry season (Nov-Apr) offers the most comfortable conditions for exploring the site.
