Overview
Pyrgos is the highest village in Santorini and home to one of five Venetian castles built to defend the island. Unlike the tourist crowds in Fira and Oia, Pyrgos offers a quieter Greek experience with whitewashed Cycladic architecture and narrow medieval lanes.
