Before you go
Etiquette
The small pool/slide at the hot springs is closed on Mondays for cleaning after the weekend. Dress modestly when not in the bathing areas.
Money
Malaysian Ringgit (MYR/RM) is the local currency. ATMs may be limited in this rural area, so bring sufficient cash from larger towns like Ranau or Kota Kinabalu.
Transport
Public buses from Kinabalu Park run once daily. Taxis from Ranau cost approximately RM30. Having your own transport is advantageous for flexibility.
