Overview
Partij-Wittem is a tiny village with two hamlets straddling the river Geul in South Limburg's southernmost reaches. Its main draws are the 13th-century Wittem Castle (now an upscale hotel) and the Redemptorist monastery, a pilgrimage destination honoring Saint Gerard Majella where the monks brew their own Gerardus Kloosterbier.
