Overview
Oxley Wild Rivers National Park is one of NSW's largest national parks and part of the UNESCO-listed Gondwana Rainforest of Australia. The park offers spectacular gorge scenery, multiple waterfalls, and remote wilderness camping away from crowds.

Before you go
Connectivity
Most of the park and surrounding areas have no mobile phone coverage. Inform someone of your plans before entering remote areas.
Money
Camping fees apply at Riverside, Youdale's Hut, Green Gully, and Dangars campgrounds. Keys and permits required for some areas, obtained from Apsley Motors in Walcha or NPWS offices. Bring cash.
Packing
Bring all food and water supplies. Warm clothing essential even in summer. Sturdy footwear required for walks. Hanging line for food storage recommended.
Safety
Stinging trees pose serious risk throughout the park. No mobile coverage in most areas. Carry first aid kit as many locations are very isolated. Emergency: 000 or 112.
Transport
Regular vehicles access most major attractions. 4WD with low range required for Riverside, Youdale's Hut, and some Budds Mare routes. Trailers not permitted on some tracks.
Weather
Gorge temperatures can be extreme. Higher peaks may be chilly any season. Winter frosts possible; summer storms common. Check conditions before descending into gorges.
