Overview
Onomichi is "Japan's hometown" - a quieter counterpoint to major tourist destinations, with dozens of ancient temples connected by two pleasant walking routes. The city is also the eastern terminus of the Shimanami Kaido Bikeway, a 70km cycling route across the Seto Inland Sea to Shikoku.
