Overview
Ōno, also called Echizen Ōno, is a historic castle town in Fukui prefecture known as the 'little Kyoto' of Echizen province. The town offers traditional temples, the atmospheric Ono Castle (a 'Castle in the Sky'), and access to outdoor activities including skiing in winter and kayaking or camping along the Kuzuryu River in summer.
