Overview
Ōda is famous for the Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that at its peak produced about one-third of the world's silver supply. The Omori Town area preserves historic streets, temples, and the remains of what was once a bustling mining city.

Money
Japan is largely cash-based in rural areas. Carry sufficient yen for admission fees (¥350-3800 depending on site) and meals.
Transport
Odashi Station on the JR San-in Line is the main access point. Buses run the main street; bicycle rental available at the gas station.
