Overview
Ocosingo serves as the main gateway to the Lacandon Jungle, one of Mexico's most biodiverse regions. The city of 48,000 preserves its colonial heritage in the historic center with Los Portales, the 1569 church of San Jacinto de Polonia, and the 1890 Pila de Agua.
