Overview
Nuevo Rocafuerte is a shabby frontier townlet on the Rio Napo near the Peruvian border, accessible only by an 8-hour boat ride from Coca. Despite its unappealing appearance, it offers access to Parque Nacional Yasuni, one of the last larger areas of primary Amazonian rainforest.
