Budget and mid-range hotels line the main bazaar. Double rooms at River Whisper start at Rs 4500. Summer months get very crowded.

Main activities are hiking and lake visits. Saif-ul-Malook Lake is the primary attraction, accessible by jeep from town.

Naran is 119 km from Mansehra via N-15 highway. Bus from Chilas takes 4 hours at Rs 1500 (2025). Shared jeep to Saiful Muluk lake costs Rs 1500 per person.
Weather
Alpine climate with cloudy conditions year-round. Summer temperatures rarely exceed 15°C with heavy rainfall. Winters are cold with heavy snowfall and temperatures below 0°C.
